We all loved building this one. Goal was to integrate all of the engineering prowess developed for the ICON BR, but to finish it much closer to stock. An “Old School” styled build, if you will. So while we took many liberties with the design details, all was done with a more retro feel than the ICON BR approach. All finished to concours quality standards. Now the client has the best of both worlds, classic styling, and modern performance. Timeless utility too!

All stock looking, down to the badges and bumpers. But once you drive it, very far from stock.... evolved.

We did decide to add the Ranger trim side spears, to break up the lines a bit.

LED third brake light adds safety....

The front seats are not "correct", but they match the era of design and improve safety and comfort. Actually, they are GM car seats, that we then restored and recovered in this cool blue & black houndstooth and matched blue vinyl. Carpet is removable.

Again, we broke the rules and fit a non-stock rear seat. Three-point seat belts were a must. We then modified the seat so that the head rests matched the altered front seats.... Cargo panels trimmed in the stock design, using our materials, integrating LED interior lights, speakers and bass.

Again, fairly stock looking but CNC'ed and painted metal replaces plastic, revised materials and layout, higher quality base board.

Cast stainless interior LED lights, sourced from the marine world, often used in our projects. Tied to door sensors so auto-on when door opens.

We worked hard to keep the dash stock as possible in appearance, while integrating navigation, quality audio, A/C, microphone and more.

The stock stereo was restored and modified so that the original volume knob controls the modern audio systems volume. It even lights up as if it worked. If I told you what the other knob did, I would have to kill you....

Ashtray modified to fit the display screen for the Parrot audio system (FM, Smart Phone, USB, line-in, NAV).

Tricky tricky.... appears stock but highly modified with modern guts, allowing it to precisely communicate with our modern mechanical systems.

We designed these wheels to appear like the old steel 15" wheels, but now they are CNC'ed here in Caifornia in 6061 aluminum, 18" to clear our modern axles and brakes. Reproduction vintage Ford hub caps complete the look.

We enjoyed this build so much that once we catch up with existing ICON BR orders, we are considering making a new style package called "Old School", based on this design.
