This barn-found 49' Hudson was discovered in North Carolina, and re-imagined as a highly capable,
modern daily-driver with a bit of rockabilly attitude.
Featuring over 630HP and project-specific engineered Art Morrison subframe assemblies designed
to integrate to the Hudson “Monobuilt” semi-unibody construction, this sled is ready to rock. Fully
adjustable 4-wheel independent suspension with ICON Brembo Sport brakes. GM LS9 power is delivered
through the 4L85-E automatic transmission into the Art Morrison IRS with Dana 60 differential.
Hand dyed wild alligator and Moore & Giles leather interior. German wool carpeting and
removable floor mats. Wool headliner, alligator trimmed wool sun visors. Heat-cured polyurea
coated underbody/ floors with extensive sound deadening and heat shielding throughout.
Newly cast,16” steering wheel in translucent blue with unrestored Hudson brightwork and horn

finish with integrated A/C vents. Machined stainless directional A/C controls with 3D printed rear

The comfort and performance if this engineered equation is unparalleled. Contrasted by the patina finishes, the design enables you to enjoy the vehicle anywhere!
The interior was a labor of love. Countless hours spent sourcing, machining, tailoring, dyeing and stitching! Wool Gaberdine headliner, German wool rugs hemmed in leather, leather and wild-caught Alligator interior. All Alligator skins were hand painted, using six colors in five different suspensions, reviving an old French technique rarely seen today. Timeless and fun!
The irregular finishes throughout the interior are already at home with the original patina finishes on the outside, while being luxurious and usable as well.
Original wood-effect painted dash, with what appears to be an original set of dash switches, gauges and details. In reality, much has been redesigned and elevated, but in keeping with the original design flow. Note the burnished seat side Alligator panels, with notes of rust and wear along the edges.
We were able to keep the original design character, all the way through to the neon style illumination on the gauges. Custom Lucite steering wheel runs the original horn ring, while the wheel is brand new, and features a reduced diameter.
CAD designed lower dash spear was CNC'ed to fit our modern switches, and to integrate A/C vents, in keeping with the original style. 3D printed reinforced polymer vent louvers, adjusted via laser cut stainless actuator.
Even the original AM radio found new use. Push any memory preset button to excite the Bluetooth, then enjoy high quality digital audio by controlling volume with the knob on the left, and bass with the original band tuning knob on the right.
The trunk floor has been reshaped to accommodate the independent rear suspension and wider wheel/tire combo. Fuel filler, fuel pump access panel, false wall behind seat (hiding electronics)...
